The Best Selling game Carcassonne is a clever tile-laying game based on the French city of Carcassonne, famous for its unique Roman and Medieval fortifications.
Players develop the area around Carcassonne and deploy their followers on the roads, in the cities, the cloisters, and in the fields while creating a perfect city landscape. With each tile placed, strategies will be tested and the skill of the players will determine who stands victorious.
This edition also includes 2 free expansions - The River which consists of 12 tiles that are laid at the start of the game and can dramatically change tile placement for the rest of the game, and it also comes with the new Mini-expansion The Abbot. Since its release in 2001, Carcassonne’s popularity has led to the creation of several expansions which allow for the exploration of new aspects of the game such as the addition of trading or different building tiles.
